I typically use a lot of virtual instruments and production tricks in my music, and this time I instead wanted to forego that and create something that stands on its own based on pure musicianship and musicality. Everything in this track was recorded live, played by me, and then mixed to just make it sound good without adding any bells and whistles in (except a little delay on the vocals). Hope you enjoy!
lyrics
Fighting now for days
We're beaten, broken, torn
Wondering who should stay
Is it one or is it both?
'Cause you know that I love you
Even as I yell
And I know that you love me
When you tell me to go to hell
So should we keep trying?
Or should we just give it up
'Cause you pull me from my troubles
And I fall into yours
Months go by, then years
And we just stay the same
Together in our dreams
Alone when we're awake
'Cause you know that I love you
Each and every day
And I know that you love me
We just can't stay away
But should we keep trying?
Or should we just give it up
Then you pull me from my troubles
And I fall into yours
But we'll make ends meet
Before we'll lose each other
You know we'll make ends meet
Before we'll lose each other
